Definitions
| Active Sports | An organisation that provides new opportunities for children to play sports. |
| Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) | Home Office initiative for checking suitability of our volunteers. |
| Disclosure Service | Service provided by the NEC to check with the CRB the suitability of our volunteers. |
| Division | A regional group of Leagues. |
| Federation | The whole Little League Football organisation, run by the National Executive Committee. |
| FootbaLLFocus | Free magazine issued to all volunteers by the NEC. |
| Forum | Occasional meeting on topics of general interest. |
| Gift Aid | Inland Revenue Scheme that allows charitable Leagues to reclaim tax on Individual Membership and other donations. |
| League | A local organisation with one or more sections. |
| Managers Accident Fund | A discretionary fund able to make payments to adults injured at Little League Football activities. |
| Mini-soccer | A version of small sided football ideal for younger children. |
| NEC | The National Executive Committee of Little League Football - the governing body. |
| Reserve Pool | The children that have not yet been allocated to a team. |
| Rulebook | The Little League Football rulebook contains the Constitution and Procedure for the Federation, Divisions and local Leagues as well as the Playing Rules. |
| Section | A group of teams within a League. Also, a chapter in this guide. |
| Sport England | Previously called the English Sports Council. |
| Taster sessions | Free fun football sessions for limited period to attract children in new areas prior to starting a League. |
