Little League Football Officers' Manual

20 LOCAL RULES

Refer to

The rules that apply to all Leagues are the Constitution, Procedure and Playing Rules, which can be found in the LLF Rulebook and FA Rules.

However, local decisions may be made for many items where: -

  • the local League has the power to make local decisions (e.g. co-opting people onto the Committee)
  • the LLF Rulebook has allowed local variations to be made (e.g. setting Individual Membership fees)
  • the LLF Rulebook does not cover the matter (e.g. sportsmanship awards)
Please note that no local rule may conflict with the LLF Rulebook or F.A. Rules.

In some circumstances, it is wise to decide the local rules before any possible conflict may arise. For example, although disciplinary problems should be few and far between, it could be wise to set up a disciplinary committee so that it may be called into action promptly.

Local Rules should be documented and freely available to the Committee.
