27 TROPHIES, LEAVERS CERTIFICATES etc

Leagues usually present trophies to the winners and runners up in the League and Cup competitions, and small individual trophies to the players in those teams.

Many Leagues also award a team sportsmanship trophy. This can be based on marks awarded by the Referee for each game (and noted on the match card).

Discounts on trophies can usually be negotiated with suppliers so shop around.

Note that individual trophies to outstanding players are not permitted.

Most Leagues hold a 'Presentation Evening' at which these trophies and Certificates to retiring players are presented, perhaps by a celebrity.
Leaving Certificates may be obtained from the NEC.

The Presentation Evening is also an opportunity for a social event, to which Sponsors, parents etc are invited.
