02 LEAGUE BOUNDARIES

Each League must have unique name, preferably indicating the geographical area. Rule 1.3.4
Boundaries should be defined by reference to Borough boundaries, postcodes, main roads or other geographical feature. Rule 1.3.2
The governing body of Little League Football, known as the National Executive Committee (NEC) must approve the boundary. Rule 1.3.2 Section 33
All players must live within the League's boundaries except:-
  • the children of Committee Members
  • those who have moved house since joining

How big an area?
  • easier to start big (and be assured of sufficient interest)
  • if the League gets too many children applying, it can be split in half or can set up extra teams

Splitting in half
  • Two separate Leagues (with two separate committees) are formed
  • Players can stay with their old teams, or can choose to transfer
  • National Executive Committee approval/guidance should be sought
